Search techniques and resources for book reviews

Reviews evaluate content and quality to help you decide if the book is worth reading, usually they appear within a year or so of the work reviewed. Searching reviews in online databases listed here is easily done.   Choose a source for magazine or newspaper articles if the book you want is popular, for general audience. Try the scholarly databases if the book is academic or about a specialized topic.

Verify the author's name, book title and date of publication using Google, a library catalog or contemporary authors database, linked below.
